He facilitates collaboration among board members, aligns operations with national development goals, and advocates for multisectoral partnerships. Eng. Simango plays a key role in fundraising, policy engagement, and institutional accountability, guiding the organization to sustainably scale its model.
His leadership anchors the farm as a catalyst for social transformation, rehabilitation, and youth empowerment through practical, land-based recovery solutions rooted in engineering precision and ethical governance.
Monitoring & Evaluation Expert
Dr. Peter Makaye oversees the design and implementation of a robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework that tracks the effectiveness, impact, and efficiency of all programs at Harvest of Hope. He ensures that the rehabilitation model is data-driven, evidence-based, and aligned with both national benchmarks and global best practices.
Dr. Makaye leads the development of measurable indicators, outcome mapping, and impact assessments. Through regular reporting and evaluation cycles, he informs program adjustments, enhances transparency, and supports decision-making by trustees and stakeholders.
His expertise ensures that Harvest of Hope remains accountable, adaptable, and demonstrably effective in addressing Zimbabwe's substance abuse crisis.
Secretary & Communications Expert
Knowledge Nyoni serves as both Secretary to the Board and Communications Expert. In his administrative role, he ensures that all trustee proceedings are well-documented, decisions recorded, and organizational policies implemented.
As Communications lead, he develops and manages the internal and external communication strategy, ensuring consistent messaging to stakeholders, media, partners, and the broader public. He is responsible for brand visibility, digital outreach, storytelling, and mobilizing community support.
His work ensures that Harvest of Hope is not only operationally sound but also publicly engaged, well-represented, and capable of influencing national discourse around youth rehabilitation and substance use recovery.
Community Development Environmentalist, Blue & Green Economy Expert
Dr. Nadia Vongai Mabvirakare integrates sustainable development into the rehabilitation process by leading initiatives that align with blue and green economy principles. She ensures that Harvest of Hope promotes environmental stewardship, renewable energy use, and climate-resilient farming practices.
Her role includes developing eco-inclusive livelihood models that empower youth to contribute to the circular economy and local sustainability. She also guides the organization's community engagement strategy, ensuring that programming is rooted in participatory development.
Through her expertise, the farm becomes not only a place of healing, but also a prototype for regenerative, eco-smart recovery systems that uplift people and protect the planet.
Legal Advisor & DSA Programs Advisor
Tinashe Chikodzi provides critical legal guidance to ensure that Harvest of Hope operates within regulatory frameworks and protects the rights of its participants and stakeholders. He ensures compliance with statutory laws, oversees contracts, and helps shape internal policies aligned with public health and rehabilitation laws.
As a Drug and Substance Abuse (DSA) Programs Advisor, he contributes to program design with a focus on legal reform, decriminalization approaches, and human rights-based interventions. He advocates for systemic change in Zimbabwe's treatment of addiction.
His dual expertise ensures Harvest of Hope remains a progressive, legally compliant, and socially just rehabilitation model that protects vulnerable individuals while promoting policy reform.
Finance Expert & DSA Expert
Tariro Jakazi oversees the financial strategy and sustainability of Harvest of Hope, ensuring transparency, effective budgeting, and resource mobilization. She manages donor relations, audits, and compliance with financial regulations, helping the organization build long-term economic resilience.
Drawing on her expertise in Drug and Substance Abuse (DSA), she bridges financial management with programmatic insight, ensuring that resources are efficiently allocated to initiatives that have maximum impact. She also supports economic empowerment components such as micro-loans and agripreneurship.
Her dual expertise ensures that the organization remains fiscally sound while staying true to its mission of youth rehabilitation and community reintegration.
ICT for Business Expert
Brighton Tangwanda leads the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) across Harvest of Hope's programs and operations. He designs digital systems for program tracking, virtual learning, farm management, and stakeholder communication.
His role includes supporting the youth with digital literacy skills, enabling them to participate in modern economic opportunities. Brighton also explores technology-enabled business models that can enhance the farm's productivity and revenue generation.
Through his work, the farm leverages digital tools to improve efficiency, expand its reach, and ensure that rehabilitation includes preparation for participation in Zimbabwe's growing digital economy.
Drug and Substance Abuse (DSA) Expert
Dr. Memory Hlatwayo brings specialized clinical and academic expertise in substance use disorders to the core of Harvest of Hope's rehabilitation model. She advises on the design and delivery of evidence-based treatment protocols, therapeutic interventions, and harm reduction strategies.
She trains staff and mentors program counselors to ensure adherence to best practices in trauma-informed care, relapse prevention, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Dr. Hlatwayo also contributes to research, policy dialogue, and curriculum development.
